PRESENTED BY O'SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME

We are delighted to announce the 6th Annual Butterfly Release presented by O'Sullivan Funeral Home! Join us at the Bellevue Marina for a unique opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one by releasing a butterfly in their honour or memory. Butterflies are a beautiful appreciation of a life lived and a multicultural symbol of change, transformation, and the beauty of nature. Their release signifies freedom and encourages those left behind to take another step in the healing process. Our team at ARCH is thrilled to celebrate this meaningful event, and we hope you will join us in this celebration of remembrance and transformation.

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Thursday, July 25, 2024

Butterflies can be purchased for 1 for $30 or 4 for $100 to share with family, and friends. The ceremony is set to begin at 6:00 PM with live music, and family-friendly activities. Don't forget to bring your lawn chair, and blanket so you can experience in comfort! Dogs are welcome to attend the event as long as they are kept on a leash! Butterflies must be pre-ordered by July 20.

According to an American Indian Legend, if anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish. So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens and be granted.

ARCH provides quality, compassionate care through end-of-life to our community at no cost. We are only partially government funded, which means we must raise over $850,000 annually to provide our services.
