CARE. SUPPORT. RESPECT.

Comfortable end-of-life experience for all.

  • ARCH Hospice is a charitable organization that provides quality, compassionate care through end-of-life to Algoma District families at no cost.

  • The emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort of our residents and their loved ones is our highest priority.

  • We offer a home-away-from-home during one of life’s most important moments: the end-of-life journey.

  • Our goal is to keep families together and provide them with quality moments, offering opportunities for all of our residents and their families to have a distinctive, memorable, and meaningful experience during their end-of-life journey.

ARCH Family Room

ARCH Hospice receives partial funding from the government. The rest we must raise with the support of generous donors like you! Every year we must raise $850,000 to continue providing compassionate care for our community at no cost to patients and their families.  Our community has been incredibly supportive and very generous to ARCH since we opened our doors. Each day we continue to be amazed by all of the individuals, and businesses- both local and national that support us.  These events not only allow us to raise proceeds that go towards the care, and comfortable we provide each day, but to share our journey at ARCH. We provide warm and inviting spaces where family and friends can spend meaningful time together in the last hours, days, or weeks of their loved ones' lives.

ARCH Logo
" I remain utterly grateful for the remarkable, poetic and sanctified way my wife departed this beautiful world and I consider her passing as the greatest moment of my life. Her end which has no end was made possible by ARCH and I have come to regard our time there as the culmination of a long and enduring marriage. ARCH is a treasure to this community, deserving of our broadest and deepest support. Thank you."

ARCH Supportive Care provides one on one grief counselling to our Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area community, free of charge. Individuals are not required to have had their loved one pass at ARCH to access this support. Grief counselling is available to all ages as we have a specialized Child and Youth Care Worker on staff as well as a Registered Social Worker.

As part of our holistic approach to caring for our residents and their loved ones, we recognize that people are greater beings than their medical illnesses. Each resident arrives with a unique story, filled with their share of joys, sorrows, fears, doubts, and confusion. At ARCH Hospice, our goal is to provide a place of peace, comfort, and calmness.
